The new production of Plefsis’s mime group is inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. The myth’s threads are woven with the substance of human intentions leaving out God’s interference. The voyage is planned and is realized with focus on the needs and choices of Odysseus. The human, tender persona of the ‘’many a way’’ hero emerges and is reveled through his relations with the unique women he meets on his voyage. Odysseus’ body moves realistically, humanly, while his soul is embraced by his fluid, polymorphous essence.
